Why plant a tree?

Planting trees is beneficial for both the environment and humanity.

Trees provide clean air, regulate climate, offer wildlife habitats, and contribute to human well-being.

Why it's important?

Our planet is in trouble. Forests are being cut down, CO₂ is filling the air, oceans are struggling, and wildlife is disappearing.

For just 5$, you can plant a tree. That tree will absorb carbon, bring back lost habitats, and help protect our planet for the future.

One small action can make a big difference—especially when we do it together.

How it Works

On a mission to plant 1 trillion trees by 2050

There is no solving climate change without solving deforestation.
Discover our milestones on how we plan to achieve this monster goal.

  • 14 765 trees planted this spring

    Growing strong, season to season

  • 24 359 trees planted this fall

    Fall planting, lasting impact

  • 86 321 trees planted in 2024

    A milestone for the planet

  • FORESTS ARE THE LUNGS OF THE PLANET.
THEY CLEAN THE AIR AND ABSORB CARBON DIOXIDE FROM THE ATMOSPHERE.

  • TREES ABSORB CARBON DIOXIDE.
48 LBS PER YEAR, FOR EVERY YEAR
    OF ITS LIFE.

  • FORESTS ARE KEY TO CLIMATE ACTION.
RESPONSIBLE FOR NEARLY 30% OF THE EFFORT TO KEEP WARMING UNDER 2°C.

It's simple!

We plant trees for you – just 5$ per tree.
Each tree absorbs CO₂, brings back wildlife, and helps heal our planet.

You've Got Questions, We've Got Trees

1. How does planting a tree for $5 work?

We personally plant every tree — no middlemen, no donations. For just $5, you make it possible for us to plant one native tree in a deforested area and help restore nature.

2. Where are the trees planted?

Trees are planted right here in Latvia, helping restore local forests and strengthen our natural ecosystems.

3. Why are trees planted only in spring and fall?

In most parts of the Eastern Hemisphere, winter temperatures are too cold for young trees to establish their roots. Spring and fall offer mild weather and plenty of moisture, giving trees the best chance to grow strong before facing extreme heat or cold. Planting in these seasons helps them adapt and thrive without the stress of harsh conditions.

4. Can I track where my trees are planted?

Yes! After donating, you’ll receive updates about the project your contribution supports and the region where your trees are planted. You’ll also get a certificate and the exact GPS coordinates of your tree, so you can see its precise location on the map.

5. Is this a one-time donation or subscription?

It’s a one-time purchase — no subscriptions or commitments. But you’re always welcome to come back and plant more trees anytime!

6. Why is planting trees important?

Trees are a big part of Latvia’s identity. By planting new ones, we help restore forests affected by logging or storms, protect wildlife habitats, and keep our country green and thriving for generations to come.

7. How do I know my $5 is actually planting a tree?

All trees are planted by our own team — no third parties involved. After your purchase, you’ll receive a certificate with the exact location of your trees. Soon, you’ll even be able to follow their growth through our live stream and see how your forest is thriving!

8. What type of trees are planted?

All trees are native to Latvia’s natural environment. We focus on species like pine, spruce, birch, and oak — chosen for their ecological importance, resilience, and long-term benefits to biodiversity and carbon capture.

We appreciate your role in protecting and improving our environment!
